Old Trafford, Manchester, 1960s | Roger Shelley

Roger Shelley has photographed the streets of Manchester and Salford since the 1960s. He captured the communities living in the terraced streets on the outskirts of Manchester’s city centre.

A significant part of Roger’s images depicted the slum clearances and the following regeneration and construction of new houses that re-housed the displaced communities throughout the region.
