Photographer Tony Davis grew up on Nottingham’s Clifton Estate during the 1960s and 1970s. Tony captured the spirit of the 90s rave scene around the Midlands. Documenting legendary nights held by Nottingham’s DiY free-party collective and at much loved venues such as The Kool Kat, Venus and The Eclipse in Coventry.
Tony has also photographed the many musicians and Djs that came to prominence during the era, including Norman Jay and Ian Brown of The Stone Roses.
Tony is also passionate about football and has documented football culture throughout the 1990s.
Since being featured as part of The British Culture Archive, Tony has had his 90s Rave images published by Café Royal books.
