Richard Davis


Richard Davis (B.1965) is a British Social Documentary and Portrait Photographer from Birmingham, UK.

Richard moved to Manchester in 1988 to study photography at the city’s Polytechnic. He was in the right place at the right time, not only to witness and document the Madchester music explosion, but also the comedy/spoken word boom which saw the introduction of the likes of Frank Sidebottom, Steve Coogan and Caroline Aherne.

In the last few years Richard has had his photos exhibited by The British Culture Archive in London, Manchester & Berlin and had his work published by renowned Photography Publishers Cáfe Royal Books.
