Drawn from Thomas Blower’s Manchester archive of the 1970s and early 1980s, this selection includes photographs made in Ancoats, Hattersley, Moss Side and the city centre. The works address childhood, housing, public transport and street life during a period of extensive urban change.
Available exclusively through British Culture Archive, each contemporary print is produced from a digital master created directly from Blower’s original camera negative, retaining the tonal range and detail of the source material.
