Toby Binder

Prints & Editions

This collection brings together selected photographs made by Toby Binder in Glasgow and Edinburgh in 2004, drawn from his long-term project Youth of the UK. The photographs document young people, street football and everyday life in working-class communities including the Gorbals, Sighthill and Niddrie.

Binder first visited Scotland in 1996 and returned in 2004, when the work began as part of his degree project. He concentrated on football as an everyday activity, photographing in streets, back courts, informal pitches and areas of open ground rather than within the professional game.

British Culture Archive presents selected photographs from this body of work as limited editions produced in collaboration with Toby Binder. Each print is hand-numbered and supplied with a certificate of authenticity. Edition size, paper, dimensions and border details are stated on the individual print page. Prints are supplied unframed and worldwide shipping is available.
