Photographer Tony Davis grew up on Nottingham’s Clifton Estate during the 1960s and 1970s. After picking up his camera and documenting his home city of Nottingham, Tony was offered a place on the prestigious documentary photography course in Newport, South Wales.
Tony is well known for capturing the spirit of the 90s rave scene around the Midlands in the UK, documenting legendary nights at much-loved venues during a magical time of rave culture. Tony also produced an incredible body of work focusing on football stadiums and fan culture throughout the UK during the 1990s.
Since being featured as part of the British Culture Archive, Tony has had a selection of his football and rave images published by Café Royal books.
