Adam T. Burton | Hulme, Manchester, 1980s
Images from our featured documentary photographer, Adam T. Burton.
Adam documented his time while living on John Nash Crescent in Hulme, Manchester during the mid-1980s. During his time in Hulme, Adam worked at Cosgrove Hall Studios, famous for creating the Danger Mouse cartoon, among many others.
Adam left Hulme towards the late 1980s and now lives in Wales. You can read our full feature with Adam via the link at the bottom of the gallery.
“For anyone who was in Hulme at this time there will be things that are familiar and maybe forgotten, and for those who were not I hope it proves an interesting record of that time and place. Although so much seemed drab and cold, depressing and at times without hope, there was a great sense that we were all in it together.” – Adam T. Burton.
