After completing the Documentary Photography course at Newport, then led by David Hurn, George Wilson moved to Kent and spent two summer seasons working as a bingo caller at Cain’s Amusements on Herne Bay seafront.
In 1981 and 1982, he photographed the staff, regulars and holidaymakers gathered around its prize bingo tables, fruit machines and arcade games.
